Pipe Conformance to Standards
Awsebi Water Pipe meets a variety of industry standards to ensure optimal quality and safety:
• ASTM F714: Our pipe conforms to this standard specification for polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe (DR-PR) based on outside diameter.
• ANSI/AWWA C906: These standards for polyethylene (PE) pressure pipe and fittings cover sizes from 4 inches (100mm) to 65 inches (1650mm), suitable for waterworks.
• NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 & 372: Certified for direct potable water contact.
• PPI TR-4 Listing: Certified as PE4710/PE100, which reflects high material quality.
• Hydrostatic Design Basis: Our pipe is capable of withstanding pressures of 1,600 psi at 73°F (23°C) and 1,000 psi at 140°F (60°C) as per ATSM D2837.
• Color & UV Protection: Pipe is composed of black material with a minimum of 2% carbon black for UV resistance as per ASTM D3350.
• Heat Fusion Joining: We follow ASTM F2620 and PPI TR-33/TR-41 guidelines to ensure strong, reliable joints, which are critical for the longevity of water systems.
• Installation Guidelines: For optimal results, follow the guidance of AWWA M55 and the PPI PE Pipe Handbook, 2nd edition.

• Pressure Ratings (PR): Listed in pounds/square inch (psi) up to 80°F for ASTM F714 Water.
• Pressure Class (PC): Listed in pounds/square inch (psi) up to 80°F ANSI/AWWA C906 Water.
• Inside Diameter (ID): Engineered with precision, subject to manufacturing tolerances.
• Weight per Foot (Wt/Ft): Calculated per foot in pounds, subject to manufacturing tolerances.
